, a civil engineering firm specializing in pavement engineering services, geotechnical investigation, and construction materials testing, is looking to fill a full time Engineering Technician position.
Technical training for this position is provided and no previous experience is necessary.
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Perform construction and materials inspection such as concrete inspection, asphalt density testing, geotechnical soil sampling, soil and aggregate compaction etc.
Perform basic laboratory testing activities such as compressive strength testing of concrete cylinders, soils and aggregate testing etc.
Evaluate, maintain and repair pavement data collection equipment.
Provide assistance in modifying new and existing pavement data collection equipment through efforts that enhance safety, practicality, efficiency and overall robustness.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A strong work ethic with the desire to learn and achieve.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed oral instructions.
Self-starting, detail-oriented individual, with organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently with general supervision.
Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines.
Currently holding a valid driver's license ERI offers excellent benefit packages that include:
